Situated a mile outside Lymington in the rural village of Pilley in the New Forest, Bees Knees offers children the highest quality of pre-school care.
The Pre-school is run at Boldre War Memorial Hall and provides the equipment and staff to provide for the care and education of under-5s between the hours of 9.15am and 12.15pm with a lunch club until 1.15pm, Monday – Friday during school term times.
The pre-school has a secure and fully enclosed outside play area and offers continuous free-flow play, where the children can choose whether to play and learn inside or out.
Bees Knees aims are:
Bees Knees is registered to take up to 26 children. We have five friendly, caring and qualified staff working on a ratio of one adult to four children for the under 3s and one adult to eight children for the over 3s. There is a Keyperson system in place in order to provide each child with as much continuity in care as possible.
Bees Knees is Ofsted inspected and received a "good" rating at our last inspection. Bees Knees is a member of the Pre-school Learning Alliance and a Registered Charity Number 1036289. We are also a member of Childrens Links who support pre-school groups nationwide.
The group is a community based, voluntary managed setting and we depend on the good will of parents and their involvement to keep going.
